ADVENT TO CHRISTMAS” CANDLELIGHT SERVICE - DECEMBER 10
St James Church presents “Advent to Christmas: a candlelight service of
readings and music” on Sunday 10 December at 4:30pm. A selection of
seasonal hymns will be sung, and the choir will sing anthems by John
Carter and Malcolm Archer. St James Church is at 10 Union St in

The service symbolizes the journey from Advent to Christmas, from the
Old Testament to the New, from darkness to light. The readings and music
will explore the themes of creation and re-creation in the context of
ancient prophecies, the birth of Christ, and visions for the future.
