Tonight, Trellis HIV and Community Care is hosting for the 2024 edition of the A Taste for Life Fundraiser, with a lineup of three restaurants in Kingston's downtown core and hosts from the organization at each location.

A Taste for Life was started in Ottawa in 1999 to support people living with HIV, and Trellis HIV and Community Care has been involved for many years.

Participating local restaurants announced this year include long-time partners Chez Piggy and River Mill, and, for the first time, Mango. They will be donating up to 25% of sales on the evening of April 17th to support the organization.

“You can definitely have a fantastic evening and do something great for our community in an indirect way because you're just having dinner,” says Michael Yue, Chair of the Funds and Development Committee at Trellis. “It's just such an easy way to have a meal and also give back to the community at the same time.”

In a release, Trellis states, "The importance of coming together with community-minded businesses to support our residents and our local hospitality industry cannot be stressed enough."
