Tourism Kingston celebrates Pride Month, supports Kingston Pride

(Kingston, Ontario, Canada) – Tourism Kingston is pleased to join with community partners across the city to celebrate Pride Month. Again this year, the organization is a key sponsor of the Kingston Pride festival, happening June 11-18, 2023. Activities throughout the week include a run/walk, Movies in the Square, “Out on the Queen” boat cruise, and the Pride Parade and Community Fair on June 17. |

The organization has also partnered with the City of Kingston, the Greater Kingston Chamber of Commerce, Kingston Accommodation Partners, and Downtown Kingston to provide storefront window Pride heart decals for businesses. The decals signify commitment to a safe, inclusive, and welcoming community.

Kingston will also host the CGLCC Summit June 14-16. The event is a global 2SLGBTQIA+ business summit and supplier diversity forum.This marks the first time the summit will happen outside of Toronto. Tourism Kingston’s Business Events Specialist, Ted Robinson, has worked closely with the organization to bring the summit the city. “We’re thrilled to be selected to host the summit in Kingston. It speaks to our organization’s efforts to build an inclusive workplace culture and lead equity, diversity, inclusion, and indigeneity initiatives across the tourism sector,” says Robinson.
Tourism Kingston, including the Visitor information Centre, is a Rainbow Registered business, a national accreditation through CGLCC that validates the organization’s efforts to providing a safe, inclusive workplace for staff, partners, and visitors. Tourism Kingston is committed to continued support of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community through funding, product development, and inclusive marketing and communications practices. |
