May 11, 2026
Community support was on full display during this year’s McHappy Day fundraiser, with McDonald’s locations in Gananoque and Kingston raising more than $72,000 for local charitable programs and families in need.
Funds raised through the 32nd annual event will support Ronald McDonald House Ottawa and the YMCA of Eastern Ontario Kids’ Camp Program, helping provide accommodations, resources and opportunities for children and families across the region.
Organizers say the results reflect strong community participation and generosity from both customers and staff throughout the fundraising campaign.
Owner Todd Shea thanked residents and restaurant employees for their continued support, saying the organization is proud to give back to the communities it serves.
