The Kingston Symphony is bringing a galaxy far, far away to the Kingston Grand Theatre on Saturday, Jan. 24, with a concert that dives deep into the legendary music of Star Wars.
The Music of Star Wars, the latest installment in the symphony’s Pops Series, will feature music from the nine canon films as well as The Mandalorian, Rogue One, and more. From the instantly recognizable themes by John Williams to additions by composers like Ludwig Göransson and Michael Giacchino, the concert showcases the iconic scores spanning decades of storytelling.
CFRC sits down with Kingston Symphony Music Director Evan Mitchell to discuss the upcoming show and why the music of Star Wars continues to resonate generations later.
Tickets are available at kingstonsymphony.ca or through the Grand Theatre Box Office.
