Downtown Kingston businesses toast hometown legends The Tragically Hip as Art After Dark returns this Friday

Kingston, ON – Downtown Kingston galleries and businesses are ready to light up the night with creativity, music, and community spirit as Art After Dark returns this Friday, September 25, from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

In keeping with this year’s Forever Hip programming that celebrates the 10-year anniversary of The Tragically Hip’s final concert, the fall edition of Art After Dark puts a hometown spotlight on Kingston’s legendary band, with several participating locations featuring Hip-inspired art and activities. It's a fitting tribute woven into the free evening art crawl patrons have come to love.

Beyond the Hip-themed stops, the tour spans 34 locations across Kingston's vibrant downtown art scene, each offering its own unique experience — think craft workshops, mini manicures, artist demonstrations, live music, on-the-spot poetry, and more. It's the perfect way to spend an evening taking in the best of Kingston's cultural heartbeat.

As always, every stop on the tour is a chance to win $500 towards the purchase of an original piece of art from a participating location — an amazing opportunity to begin or grow your personal collection.

Whether you're an avid art enthusiast, a lifelong Hip fan, or simply looking for a fun night out, Art After Dark is the perfect way to discover Kingston's creative side.
