City of Kingston Arts Council Announces Grant Winners including CFRC

The Kingston Arts Council and the City of Kingston have announced the recipients of the 2023 City of Kingston Arts Fund (CKAF). 
 
CFRC 101.9 FM is one of the recipients of a CKAF project grant.  
 
CKAF will provide $15,000 for CFRC's Airwave YGK project running through 2023-24. Airwave YGK is a curated series of DJ, turntablism and experimental sound art workshops and performances enabling community members to learn and showcase the art, design and processes associated with creating electronic sound art.
 
An annual fund administered by KAC on behalf of the City of Kingston, CKAF provides operating and project grants to local arts organizations, collectives, and individual artists to first creativity at all levels and enrich how Kingston residents experience and engage with the arts.
 
12 Operating Grants and 16 Project Grants were awarded through the 2023 City of Kingston Arts Fund, for a total funding allocation of $619,345.
