Hockey Helps the Homeless (HHTH) is excited to return to Kingston for the third annual Pro-Am Charity Hockey Tournament to be held on Friday, November 14, 2025.
Over the past two years, HHTH Kingston has seen great success in raising funds for organizations fighting homelessness locally; granting $300,000+ to local charities. This year, funds from the tournament will support Kingston Interval House and St. Vincent de Paul Society of Kingston.
HHTH Kingston has grown from 12 to 15 teams this year, bringing in even more community fundraisers. All players will participate in three games with at least one former professional player on their team, including Rick Vaive, Gary Leeman, and former Kingston Frontenac Mike Zigomanis.
“Participants in this one-day charity tournament are treated like pros and are able to make a significant impact in the Kingston community while experiencing a great day on ice,” explains Emma Langlois, Senior Manager of Business Development at HHTH.
HHTH Kingston is offering an exciting opportunity to win exclusive The Tragically Hip themed prizes; including a private campfire with a meal for 20 catered by local restaurateur Matt Day, a tour of The Hip’s famous Bathouse Studio, and a round of golf at the Cataraqui Golf and Country Club with Paul Langlois, Gord Sinclair, and Kirk Muller.
There is also a publicly available silent auction with local gift certificates, experiences, and artwork. You can access the raffle tickets online and silent auction online.
“We are so fortunate to live in a community that consistently comes together to help those in need. This year, 15 teams have been fundraising in support of such worthy causes. It is our hope to be able to top last year’s incredible total. We couldn’t do any of this without our players and tremendous sponsors”, says Joanne Langlois, co-chair of the HHTH Kingston tournament.
Games are free to watch and run from 8 am to 5 pm. We encourage community members to show up, make a donation, and buy your raffle tickets. For more information, contact Emma Langlois at emma@hhth.com.
All media are invited to attend the tournament and meet the pros and sponsors. Interviews and photo opportunities can be arranged.
