Warm Hearts, Warm Coats: Community Unites to Launch Fundraising Campaign for Children's Snowsuits
November 1, 2024
November 1, 2024 – Today, the annual Clothes for Kids campaign launch kicked off at the Visitor Information Centre in downtown Kingston. Volunteers of the Kingston Waterfront Rotary Club, members of the media and campaign supporters and sponsors gathered to officially start the fundraising required to keep kids warm in our community.
For more than 35 years, the Clothes for Kids campaign, run by Corus Kingston, has made a tremendous impact, providing thousands of snowsuits to children in need across Greater Kingston. The Kingston Waterfront Rotary Club is excited to work with Corus to continue this valuable initiative.
This year’s goal is an ambitious $55,000 to ensure we help children in need stay warm this winter. With snow suits costing close to $80 each, the need has never been greater, and we urgently need your help to meet this target.
“We are honoured to work alongside Corus to ensure the Clothes for Kids campaign provides essential winter warmth for local children,” says Martha Hatt, President, Kingston Waterfront Rotary Club. “The need has never been greater, and we’ve been thrilled with the response we are receiving from both long-time supporters and from new partners.”
