See you in Kingston for the Canada Life Vanier Cup

The 2023 Canada Life Vanier Cup will be held at Richardson Stadium in Kingston, ON, on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2023. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 pm EST.

The game will feature the Mitchell Bowl Champions, UBC Thunderbirds and the Uteck Bowl Champions, Montreal Carabins, as they compete for Canadian University Football’s ultimate prize – the Vanier Cup. 

Tickets can still be purchased online while supplies last. General Admission tickets start at $20. Hotel packages with tickets for travelling fans are available through Tourism Kingston

Friday Night

Canadian Collegiate Women’s Flag Football (CCWF) Showcase

On Friday, Nov. 24, Queen's Athletics and Recreation will host the 2023 CCWF Showcase at Miklas McCarney Field and Richardson Stadium. The event will showcase top teams from across Ontario and Quebec as they play for gold in Kingston. Round robin games will start at 10 am on Miklas-McCarney Field, with playoff games set to begin at 3 pm EST. The championship game is scheduled to take place on Hand Field at Richardson Stadium at 5:30 pm EST. Admission to games is free.

Vanier Cup Fan Fest

Beginning at 6 pm EST. on Nov. 24, Kingston’s Springer Market Square will host its first Vanier Cup Fan Fest ahead of the 2023 Canada Life Vanier Cup on Saturday, Nov. 25. Fans travelling from across Canada, as well as those in Kingston are encouraged to attend and enjoy live music in Springer Market Square, meet representatives from participating teams, celebrate the winners of the 2023 CCWF Showcase and interact with a number of vendors from across the province in Kingston to support the Canada Life Vanier Cup.

Members of high school football programs from across Canada will have the opportunity to participate in a draw held by T. Litzen Sports, the official Nike Team uniform provider of the Queen’s Gaels, for the chance to win a free set of uniforms for the upcoming season.

Saturday

The teams will take part in a procession to Richardson Stadium with the Vanier Cup on the morning of Saturday, Nov. 25. Come cheer the teams on as they enter Queen’s University’s main campus along Stuart St, before proceeding up University Ave. and completing their journey to Richardson Stadium along Union St.

Pregame festivities at Richardson Stadium will begin at 9:30 am with live entertainment and food trucks from across Kingston serving fans. Gates to Richardson Stadium will open at 11 am EST. All fans are encouraged to visit the Bob McFarlane Family Plaza located on the Lang Pavilion, where they can have their photo taken with the Vanier Cup.

Football Canada First Down ‘Try Football’ Day

Prior to kickoff at the 2023 Canada Life Vanier Cup, Football Ontario will be hosting a Football Canada First Down ‘Try Football’ Day on Miklas-McCarney Field, adjacent to Richardson Stadium, beginning at 9:30 am EST. Football Canada’s First Down Program helps get kids moving and active while having fun. The goal is to help develop movement abilities and foster further participation in physical activity or sport before taking in the 2023 Canada Life Vanier Cup, the pinnacle of University football in Canada.

Those interested in registering a child to participate can sign up through Football Ontario.
