Partners in Mission Food Bank hosts annual Food Blitz this Saturday

This Saturday, Apr. 11 from 9 A.M. to 4 P.M., Partners in Mission Food Bank will once again host its annual Food Blitz at grocery stores across Kingston. Teams of volunteers will be handing out collection bags to shoppers and collecting donations.

Their goal this year is to collect 25,000 lbs of food and raise $30,000.

2025 marked the fifth record-breaking year in a row for the food bank, with over 22,000 household visits, and helping nearly 10,000 people. 2026 is already on track to exceed those numbers.

Listen to the full story here, where Partners in Mission Executive Director Dan Irwin sits down with CFRC to discuss the growing need and what hitting Food Blitz goals means for meeting demand in the months ahead.
