Ongwanada Celebrates 75 Years in the Kingston Community

Kingston, ON – Ongwanada is getting ready to celebrate 75 years in the Kingston Community. On
Wednesday, August 16, the organization will host an anniversary picnic for upwards of 400 people,
including staff, supported individuals, volunteers, board members, and auxiliary members. Alastair Lamb,
CEO of Ongwanada, says, "The organization has played a pivotal role in the community; I am certain that
this milestone would not have been reached if it wasn't for the dedicated staff and community support
along the way." The event will kick off a year-long celebration with various activities commemorating the
momentous occasion.

Since the inception in 1948, Ongwanada has been dedicated to providing vital support and services to the
community, most recently supporting over 500 individuals in the region with developmental disabilities
and their families.
