Mayor invites the community to New Year's Levee

All residents of Kingston are invited to mix and mingle with Mayor Bryan Paterson; City councillors; Ted Hsu, Member of Provincial Parliament and Mark Gerretsen, Member of Federal Parliament at the 2024 New Year's Levee.

This year's event will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2024, in Memorial Hall, located in City Hall, 216 Ontario St. Donations of non-perishable food items will be graciously accepted for the Partners in Mission Food Bank. A list of the most needed food items is available on the Partners in Mission Food Bank website.

“The New Year’s Levee is an opportunity for residents to meet local officials, enjoy refreshments and engage in conversations with fellow community members,” says Mayor Paterson. “I hope to see many of you at the beautiful Memorial Hall to kick off the new year.”

The event will also feature a New Year's welcome from the Town Crier and a new poem from the City's Poet Laureate, Sadiqa de Meijer.

Updated information will be shared on the event page on the City of Kingston's website.
