Livable City Design Awards handed out

December 1, 2023

Last week, the winners of the Livable City Design Awards were honoured during an awards presentation at City Hall.

The Livable City Design Awards typically happen every three years, though the last event was held in 2017. The 2020 edition was cancelled due to the pandemic. The awards recognize innovative buildings or projects that positively contribute to Kingston. They celebrate projects which demonstrate excellence in urban design and architecture and raise the bar for the community.

“With 25 winners over three award categories, there were so many excellent projects for the jury to consider,” said Sukriti Agarwal, Manager of Policy Planning. “We were impressed by the variety and creativity of many of the projects. Thank you to the owners, designers and heritage consultants for your vision.”

Winning projects were recognized with an Award of Excellence, Award of Merit, or the People’s Choice Award.
