Kingston advocates filled the streets on Saturday, September 20 as part of the nationwide Draw the Line protests, uniting climate justice, migrant justice, Indigenous rights, economic justice, and anti-war movements in one day of action.

Protesters highlighted a range of concerns, including the federal government’s support for new fossil fuel projects, the possibility of public service cuts, as well as issues related to Indigenous rights and foreign conflicts.

The Kingston chapter featured giant signs, costumes, and stilt walkers as demonstrators marched from Victoria Park through Queen’s campus and the downtown core to McBurney Park.

The day ended with a rally and Indigenous drumming circle at the Skeleton Park Neighbourhood Block Party.
