Kingston’s clean-tech ambitions took a major step forward last week as the Reaction Hub (RXN HUB) officially opened its doors on Princess Street.
The new 30,000-square-foot facility was made possible through a $3 million investment from the City, and aims to bridge the “valley of death” between lab research and the market, giving emerging clean-tech companies the infrastructure, expertise, and ecosystem they need to scale up.
RXN HUB offers modular lab and manufacturing space, equipment, and an extensive network of technical and business partners, all under one roof.
Already, international firms like the carbon-removal company UNDO Carbon are operating onsite, early signs that Kingston is positioning itself as a national leader in climate-focused innovation.
RXN HUB Executive Director Morgan Lehtinen, also a Queen’s University chemistry graduate, sits down with CFRC to share more about their vision.
