Kingstonian Willem Sagriff will be hitting the Point Municipal Park track in Sydenham on Saturday, Oct. 3 with the goal of running 100 km to raise funds for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Kingston Health Sciences Centre (KHSC).

While Willem originally set out to raise $6,000 for the NICU, that goal was quickly surpassed and raised to $15,000. Currently, the campaign is poised to cross that revised finish line.

Supporters are invited to cheer Willem on or run a few laps on Saturday, and donations can be made through his fundraising page with University Hospitals Kingston Foundation (UHKF).

Willem sits down with CFRC days before the big run to share more about how he was originally inspired to embark on this challenge, the leadup to this weekend, and the community support he has received.
