Kingston Fire & Rescue hosts charity car wash

Kingston Fire & Rescue (KFR) will be hosting a charity car wash on Saturday, Sept. 9, in support of Hockey Helps the Homeless.  

All are invited to Fire Station 3, 211 Gore Rd., between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., where KFR members will be making a splash and accepting donations for a good cause. 

Hockey Helps the Homeless (HHTH) is a not-for-profit hockey organization partnered with more than 45 local homeless support agencies across Canada. One hundred per cent of net proceeds stay in the community. This year in Kingston, HHTH is supporting the Integrated Care Hub and the One Roof community centre.  

Since 1996, the organization has granted $22 million to combat homelessness nationally.
