Kingston Canadian Film Festival and Kingston Music Office Announce Pairings for 2024 Slaight Music Video Program

October 2, 2024

The Kingston Canadian Film Festival (KCFF) and Kingston Music Office are excited to announce the participant pairings for the fourth edition of the Slaight Music Video Program, in collaboration with the Slaight Family Foundation. The announcement took place during the reoccurring Makers Meetup event on October 1 at the Broom Factory, generating an atmosphere of excitement and anticipation for the creative collaborations to come.

This year’s program continues its mission of bridging Kingston’s vibrant film and music communities. Eleven local film production companies have been paired with some of the city’s top musical talent, with a focus on emerging artists, to create professional music videos. These videos will premiere at the Kingston Canadian Film Festival in March 2025, offering a platform to showcase the city’s rich artistic synergy.

The participant pairings are as follows:

  • Kasador with Little Menace Productions

The Makers Meetup event generated significant buzz within the local creative community sharing enthusiasm for the collaboration. This initiative not only fosters partnerships between film and music professionals but also supports the growth of emerging talent in Kingston. All completed music videos will make their world premieres at the Kingston Canadian Film Festival, scheduled for February 26 to March 2, 2025.
