Kingston Buskers Rendezvous Begins This Week, Unveiling Exciting New Programming
July 3, 2024
Get ready, Kingston! The highly anticipated Kingston Buskers Rendezvous kicks off this Thursday, July 4th, and runs through Sunday, July 7th. This year’s festival promises an unforgettable experience, featuring an impressive lineup of performers and new, exciting programming for all ages.
New this year, experience Buskers After Dark, a lively nighttime event taking place on Saturday, July 6th from 8pm to 11pm in Springer Market Square. The licensed event will showcase performances by Montreal-based DJ Truwayz, Toronto’s Dr. Draw and the Strange Parade with NorthFIRE Circus, and local graffiti artist EronOne. Daft Brewing will be serving refreshing drinks for attendees to enjoy.
The Buskers Bootcamp in Confederation Park is another exciting addition to the festival, offering kids the opportunity to learn the basics of juggling, beatboxing, hula hooping, and more from the performers themselves. And don’t forget to check out the RCAF mini planes on Market Street Saturday and Sunday, providing free rides for kids.
Also new this year is the Buskers Artisan Market, with over 50 vendors set up in Confederation Park on Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 5pm.
Downtown Kingston would also like to remind attendees that the festival does not pay the performers. This is a true busking festival, so please show your appreciation by contributing to the hat passes. If you don’t carry cash, no problem! Busker Bucks are available in the Info Tent in Confederation Park. Simply use your credit card to purchase wooden coins that you can use to pay the artists.
