KFPL Opens Temporary Cataraqui Centre Branch
November 1, 2024
Kingston Frontenac Public Library (KFPL) is excited to announce the opening of its temporary branch at the
Cataraqui Centre on November 1, 2024. While the Isabel Turner Branch is closed for renovations, the temporary
branch will provide library services to patrons in the West End of Kingston.
“We’re excited to open the temporary Cataraqui Centre Branch, ensuring continued access to library services
while the Isabel Turner Branch undergoes important renovations,” said Nicole Charles, Director of Facilities and
Technology. “Though this branch is smaller than Isabel Turner, it embodies our commitment to serving our
communities during this transition. We look forward to welcoming everyone to this convenient location.”
Located on the lower level of the Cataraqui Centre, the temporary branch features a curated collection of new
and popular materials. Library users can reserve items from across the KFPL system online for delivery to this
location. The branch also offers four public computers, as well as printing, photocopying, and scanning services.
While programs will not be available at the Cataraqui Centre Branch, KFPL is offering additional programs at the
Calvin Park Branch, including Play to Learn and Uke Can Do It!, as well as PA Day programming and class visits.
KFPL has also partnered with EarlyON to provide early years programming at Bayridge Public School (Mondays)
and the INVISTA Centre (Wednesdays).
Starting November 1 at 9 a.m., library users can visit the temporary location at the Cataraqui Centre. If you have
