The Great Lakes Museum is welcoming spring with its first-ever Easter celebration.
The new, family-focused event, Bunnies on Boats is set to take place April 6, inviting visitors to explore the museum by searching for stowaway bunnies through its galleries.
This event is one of several new youth-focused initiatives at the museum, including its first-ever Halloween event aboard the Keewatin last fall.
“I really believe in lifelong learning and find that once you engage kids in a museum or a topic or a theme … they tend to hold onto it for their lives,” says Claire Notman, Visitor Experience Manager at the Great Lakes Museum. “We’re really kind of investing in that long-term engagement with our local community.”
The event takes place Monday, April 6 from 10 A.M. to 3 P.M. at the Great Lakes Museum. Registration and more details are available on the Great Lakes Museum website.
