Live music from Kingston acts: The Kildeers, Clem Chesterfield and the LA-Z Boy Recliners and the Bon Evans Band https://www.facebook.com/share/15p6zVqJd4/ We encourage those who want to hear about future plans to secure Roswell Rehearsals and how people can help, to attend.

Despite doing their best to pivot, following Covid, Kingston’s only purpose built music rehearsal facility, Roswell Rehearsals, was struggling to survive but local musicians, bands, and music lovers spoke up loud and clear: this space mattered. It wasn’t just a practice facility — it was a creative lifeline, a launchpad for dreams, and a safe space for community.

The community rallied, and a GoFundMe called “Let’s Keep Roswell Rehearsals Alive” was launched by Roswell friend, Amherst Island Radio’s, Eric Tremblay. The campaign included a Compilation Album with tracks donated by 25 Roswell Alumni. However, the landlord had different plans for the space and, in October 2022, Roswell Rehearsals was forced to hit pause on operations and the fundraising.

After a two year property search, they are Pressing Play. Roswell found a new home and was able to soft open very quickly with two rehearsal rooms available to musicians within a week of taking over the new space. Now the hard work begins. Critically, there is a need to improve soundproofing. There are also plans for expansion, starting with adding two rooms, unlocking access for more artists and securing their long-term future in the space.

Roswell Rehearsals provides spaces where musicians can practice, experiment, connect, build bands, and build community. This time, they plan to stick around.

Tickets for the event are $15 or PWYC, with other opportunities to contribute to the campaign.
