Family and Children’s Services Launches Annual Tree of Hope Campaign

November 25, 2025

Kingston, ON -  November 25, 2025 - Family and Children’s Services of Frontenac, Lennox & Addington (FACSFLA) has launched its 2025 Tree of Hope campaign, an annual community tradition that raises funds to bring comfort and care to local children, youth, and families during the holiday season.

Donations to the Tree of Hope help provide FACSFLA clients with a wide variety of much-needed support – from groceries, winter clothing, and holiday gifts for transportation and emergency housing, as well as longer-term assistance such as tutoring and extracurricular activity costs for children and youth. Tree of Hope donations also help sustain FACSFLA’s year-round programs and services, which include parenting classes, mental health counselling, and guidance for youth transitioning out of care.

Every year, the campaign aims to remind Frontenac, Lennox & Addington community members of the kindness, generosity, and connection inherent in the holiday season. For FACSFLA, this time of year is a Season of Hope that brings people together across cultures and traditions to help ensure that every child and family experiences a sense of belonging and joy, even in the midst of challenging circumstances.

“The Tree of Hope has always been about community,” says Amanda Colacicco, Executive Director FACSFLA. “It’s a reflection of how people from all walks of life come together to care for others. Each donation to the Tree of Hope is an act of care – one that creates a ripple of stability, dignity, and hope throughout our community.”

Community members, businesses, and organizations are invited to donate online at Tree of Hope or drop off gift cards and unwrapped gifts at FACSFLA, 817 Division Street, Kingston ON - by December 17th, 2025.

“Together,” Amanda says, “we can help make this Season of Hope one of warmth, inclusion, and compassion for every child, youth and family in Frontenac, Lennox & Addington.”
