As part of the Kingston Frontenacs game on Family Day, the new name of the venue was made official. Approved by City Council on Dec. 19, 2023, Slush Puppie Canada has entered into an agreement for the naming rights for Slush Puppie Place. Schedules for all activities taking place at Slush Puppie Place can be found at SlushPuppiePlace.com.

"Slush Puppie Canada is very honoured to enter into a business alliance with the City of Kingston, in partnership with the Kingston Frontenacs, for the next 15 years. Both entities have a strong association to everything hockey and everything Canadian... much like the Slush Puppie brand!” says Jean-Rock Beaudoin, president of Slush Puppie Canada.

"It was a pleasure to help mark the official grand opening of Slush Puppie Place with a full crowd on Family Day! There is a long-standing connection between Slush Puppie and hockey, and we look forward to how this new partnership will contribute to a lively atmosphere in an amazing downtown venue hosting both Kingston Frontenacs hockey and lots of other great shows and events,” says Mayor Paterson.
