City Bylaw Enforcement and Kingston Police credit focused efforts with noted decrease in charges

The City of Kingston and Kingston Police are reporting a decrease in fines and charges following another busy weekend in the University District.
With the University District Safety Initiative (UDSI) in effect this past weekend, City Enforcement and Kingston Police had an increased presence in the area and issued several fines and charges. No nuisance parties were declared.
Bylaw Enforcement reports the following fines and charges:

Saturday Sept. 9: 16 $200 Amplified Sound Administrative Monetary Penalties (AMPs), 8 $200 Failure to Comply with Signs AMPs

Sunday Sept. 10: 9 $200 Amplified Sound AMPs, 2 $200 Failure to Comply with Signs AMPs
Kingston Police reports the following fines and charges:

Liquor Licence Control Act: 202 Open Liquor, 12 Person Under 19 Consume Alcohol

Highway Traffic Act: 3 Charges
