Hey Kingston (and area) bands! Have you heard of the Slaight Music Video Program? It's run by the Kingston Canadian Film Festival and Tourism Kingston and will fund the creation of 10 music videos this coming fall/winter. CFRC and our friends at KPP Concerts are here to help spread the word in the music world (deadline to apply is July 31).
The project will:
- pair local filmmakers/production companies with musicians/bands
- pay the production companies $2,000 towards the creation of a video (and assist with training, contact sharing, other help as needed)
- pay the musicians $1,000 for their participation
- showcase all finished videos live on the big screen during the 2024 Kingston Canadian Film Festival in March (you'll get to walk the red carpet for your premiere)
- ensure a professional video is created that particiapants can use to further their musical career
- hire many of the artists to perform during the Kingston Canadian Film Festival (additional artist fees will be paid for the performances)
