Alternative Frequency’s story:
“Alternative Frequency,” CFRC’s locally produced independent news program, was started in the summer of 2007. Many of the program’s original members were formerly involved with a different news program called “Groundswell,” which ran from 2002 to 2007 in affiliation with OPIRG Kingston. Several programmers were involved in “Alternative Frequency” during its first year before the show’s membership became more stabilized in 2008–09. We are currently seeking new members to replace correspondents who have graduated or left Kingston. The next chapter of “Alternative Frequency” could be written by you!
