CFRC brings you the G20

This weekend Toronto will host the G20 Summit. The summit is billed by organizers as the world’s premier forum for international economic cooperation; however, critics are quick to point out that policies supported by and promoted by the G8 and G20 countries, beyond exerting neo-colonial rule in the global south, have actually led to economic slowdown in low and middle income countries.
CFRC is proud to present coverage from live on the scene in Toronto. CFRC will have reporters on the streets with activists and protesters, as well as inside the summit’s International Media Centre. Tune in to hear a range of views with regards to what is going on in Toronto during the G20 summit.
Friday, turn on your radios at 5pm for The Lumberyard with host Ian, featuring a G20 Report from a coalition of campus/community radio stations, and at 5:30PM our own intrepid News Coordinator Elamin Abdelmahmoud will be phoning in to give us his thoughts.
Saturday, June 26th, tune in at 4pm for Kingston to Kingston, host Al in addition to playing his irresistible, unstoppable reggae riddims will be receiving two calls in from our reporters down in Toronto. An update from the protests, and from inside the media centre.
