Recruiting: Radio Drama Writers
CFRC’s Radio Residencies program for 2011-2012 continues with the recruitment of two Kingston-area writers to create original radio dramas. Interested applicants should submit a 1 to 2-page proposal, outlining their project’s theme, subject matter, source materials, production techniques, a plan for involving CFRC volunteers and Kingston community members, and addressing how the drama will engage with local issues and stories, reflect the diversity of the region and connect with listeners from other places.
Proposals may be submitted to cfrcops@ams.queensu.ca until Monday, February 6 at 4pm. Successful applicants will have access to audio production training, CFRC’s studios, portable digital recorders, honoraria to recruit project volunteers, and a $1000 honorarium for completing the project. Finished pieces will be broadcast on CFRC, shared with other community radio stations and debuted at the Screening Room in April.
