Art Freak “Endangered”
Tune in Tuesday, November 8 at 11:30AM as Art Freak takes a look at the exhibition currently on display at the Artel titled “Endangered.” Kingston artist Lise Melhorn-Boe uses the medium of the artist book to examine the relationship between the environment and our health. Cecily Taylor spent some time with Lise at the opening this past weekend to chat about the work. Kris+Dee live for the Charts!
Tune in on Wednesady, November 9 for The Charts with Jake Costello at 1pm, for an interview with indie folk/pop duo, Kris+Dee. Kris Abbott and Dee McNeil, known for past work with The Pursuit of Happiness and The Strap-Ons respectively, join for the album Still Here Inside.

Special Convocation Broadcasts
CFRC will be broadcasting four convocation ceremonies in November. These special broadcasts will consist of three honorary degree recipients’ speeches. Below are the dates of each of these ceremonies. Regular broadcasting will be interrupted for 20-30 minutes.

Elisha Lim on Bash Back

Wednesday, November 2 from 6-7pm, join DJ Fras and DJ Flip on Bash Back featuring artist and author, Elisha Lim. Lim talks about their identity as a queer person of colour and its impacts on their art as well as their recent visit to Kingston. From their multitude of projects such as the new universal calendar Sissy, the illustrated documentary 100 Percent with Thea Lim and “God Loves Queers” with Brooklyn Boihood’s Genesis Tremaine, Lim discusses their experiences with the term sissy, race and religion.
