Homelessness Marathon, February 23
CFRC broadcasts the 9th Annual Homelessness Marathon, from 5pm on February 23 until 7am on February 24, 2011.
This year’s Homelessness Marathon will broadcast live from the streets of Montreal, and several other locations across Canada, serving up 14 hours of people-powered radio.
With the goal of being a consciousness-raising event, the Marathon provides an opportunity for homeless people and their allies to take to the airwaves, leading a nationwide discussion on homelessness issues and possible solutions.

Thank you!
Thanks to all the volunteers, listeners and community members who made a pledge to support CFRC over the past ten days. Thanks to your efforts, Kingston’s only campus-community radio station has raised more than $22,000 so far. We still have a little ways to go to reach our $25,000 fundraising goal for the year, so if you haven’t already, please consider making a pledge. Our offices are open weekdays from 10am to 5pm, so drop in to pay a pledge, pick up some fabulous gifts, and get a station tour. See you soon!
