On November 6th and 7th CFRC screened a collection of audio art pieces in the Gordon Vogt Studio Theatre. The pieces were played on a multi-channel system in complete darkness. We’re making a recording of the November 6th presentation available for home listening. Turn off the lights, turn up your speakers and enjoy.

Hear in the Dark was made possible with the generous support of the City of Kingston and the Kingston Arts Council.

Interview and Performances on Kingston Staged: PS I Love You and Diamond Rings

November 4, 2010 · Posted in Content ·

ps_i_love_youjpg3 On October 30, two acts that have been getting a lot of attention lately with their new albums and electric live performances, PS I Love You and Diamond Rings, played a sold out show at the Mansion to an enthusiastic crowd. Before the show, Paul from PS and John AKA Diamond Rings came by the CFRC studios to chat and play some tunes. The two talked about the local Kingston scene, community radio, touring and the making of their records. Later they took up some guitars and bongos and played a couple songs: Diamond Rings’ “Something Else” and PS I Love You’s “Actually (I’m a Monster Now).” You can catch all of this Thursday, November 4 on Kingston Staged (every Thursday at 1PM). Later on in the show, catch Paul Langlois of The Tragically Hip and friends who came by the studio last night to give us a taste of their new group consisting of four singer/songwriter/guitarists who simply want to get together and play one another’s songs: “The Campfire Liars.” Also on the program: DJ Marinko’s turntable magic, Ryan Harvey and Chris Koster.
