Thanks to all who came on down to CFRC in Lower Carruthers Hall on Saturday, March 13 for our first ever Radio Free School: a day of workshops about radio, led by Queen’s faculty, graduate students and staff who have volunteered with the station. More than 20 students, volunteers and community members spent a rainy day at the radio station, learning about and working on radio-related ideas and skills.

Critical Thinking hosts Councillors

3811814_city-hall-2Critical Thinking, Kingston’s only municipal affairs talk radio program with Jamie Masse, will be hosting a 13 part series of discussions with Kingston City Councillors beginning January 5th 2010.

Each municipal councillor has been invited to discuss their thoughts on the previous year and their individual most important accomplishment(s) to date. The series expects to host the Mayor of Kingston in early March.

Critical Thinking features live discussions, round-table debates and the most important events and issues that affect your life. Tune in every Tuesday morning at 11:30am, right before Democracy Now.

Free Radio with Reyn, January 9

Tune into Free Radio this Saturday, January 9, for a special program featuring Reyn: a singer-songwriter from Ottawa.  Reyn will be in the studio to talk about music, songwriting, and to play live on the air!  You’ll also here some magical records from CFRC ’s vast music collection.  Free Radio airs 10-11pm every Saturday on CFRC.
