Thursday from 1:00-2:30, Kingston Staged brings music recorded live from Sydenham St United Church this past Saturday. It was a jam packed night of music with Kingston’s own Kyra and Tully as well as Jenn Grant from Halifax. Grant’s dreamlike voice was the perfect match with the expansive concert setting and warmed the brisk Saturday Kingston evening. Meanwhile, Kyra and Tully once again were a crowd favourite.

Kingston Staged can be heard every Thursday from 1:00-2:30 on 101.9fm CFRC.

Spoken Word Wildcard deals JFK

November 18, 2009 · Posted in Content ·

The assassination of President John F. Kennedy shook people across the world.
It was a moment in history imprinted so strongly on the imagination that many remember where they were the day they heard the news.  John Kerry, host of CFRC’s Silver Threads, remembers. He caught history in a time capsule, now yellowed with age: a stack of newspapers spanning ten days of November in 1963. Last week John picked through this capsule in CFRC studios, and in memory of the assassination of John F. Kennedy, CFRC shares this look back in history on Friday, November 20 from 5-6pm. Please tune in!
